Itinerary 7 Days / 6 Nighs

Transfer in. Accommodation in La Paz

In the morning visit Tiwanaku, today you will be picked up at approximately 8:30 am to be transferred to Tiwanaku, about 72 kilometers from La Paz, a 2hr drive.

Along the way you will stop at Lloco Lloco, a lookout spot where you will have the opportunity to enjoy amazing views of the Altiplano and part of Lake Titicaca.

Upon arrival in Tiwanaku, you will visit two handicraft museums with archaeological pieces from ancient Tiwanaku culture, the Ceramic Museum and the Lytic Museum.

Next we will visit the ruins and temples of the Tiwanaku archaeological complex. Among them, you can see the Puerta del Sol (Sun Gate), which captures the first rays of sun on the Summer Solstice to bring down all the cosmic energies from the upper world, and the Puerta de la Luna (Moon Gate). See the spectacular Semi-Subterranean Temple, which has the oldest samples of carved heads, the Kalasasaya Temple (4,070m), which was used as a ceremonial ground during the Aymara New Year, and the Akapana Pyramids.

Lunch and return to La Paz.

In the afternoon,we pick up passengers from the hotel to visit a typical Indian Market, the famous Witch Doctor’s Market and the San Francisco Colonial Church. The tour continues to the Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the  Government Palace and the National Congress buildings are located.

Then, we will visit the famous colonial street “Calle Jaén” where interesting museums are clustered together, followed by the visit to the open air museum from the Tiwanaku Culture.    To change scenery the tour continues to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida. 

The tour ends with a visit to the unique Moon Valley, where you will have the opportunity to walk around, and a visit to a ceramic workshop with a demonstration of the art of pottery.

Titicaca Catamaran Full Day cruise. Accommodation in La Paz.

Early land transfer for lake Titikaka, board the Catamaran Cruise Ship, breakfast while sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birth place of the Inca Empire. 

Visit the Inca Garden, steps and fountain then the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean cameloids.

Also, the Inti Wata Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka Traditional vessel for a panoramic visit to the Pilkokaina Inca Palace.

Transfer in Sucre and half day city tour.

Without a doubt Sucre is one of the most beautiful cities in Bolivia and South America, also known as “La Ciudad Blanca” (The White city) because ever since the colonial period Sucre looks like your typical Spanish city.

During our visit we will visit the enchanting streets and important points of historic value.

Accommodation in Sucre.

Land transfer to Potosi and half day city tour. Visit the most importants attractions of Potosí, the Mint, Cobija Arch, San Lorenzo Church, Central Market, San Francisco viewpoint, Main square, La Merced Church, Compañia de Jesús Tower.

At 4,090 meters, the colonial city of Potosi is one of the highest cities in the world. Because it is only three hours from Potosi to Uyuni, the city is a frequent stop for travelers on their way to Uyuni from La Paz or Sucre.

Afternoon, transfer by land to Uyuni.

Accommodation in Uyuni

After breaktast, departure to the Salt Desert., visit to the Inkawasi Island, also known as Fish Island, famous for its gigantic cacti. Here we have a typical lunch.

Return  to the hotel in Uyuni, dinner.

Transfer to the airport to take your flight return to La Paz and connection with your international flight back home.
