Class I – II
1 Day Itinerary
We meet at 8.00am from our Tena office where you’ll get fitted out with a kayak, spray skirt, paddle, bouyancy vest, and helmet. Once ready you’ll travel about half an hour to the put-in on the Anzu river.
On arrival at the river your guide will conduct a safety briefing and take you step by step through safety drills. Before setting off you will spend some time learning and practicing basic paddling and balance techniques.
The day is all about gaining confidence in the kayak and enjoying a relaxed day on the river. Your guide will adapt the time on the river to your specific needs and what you want to get out of the day. There’ll be opportunities to run small rapids and to just drift with the current.
During the trip we’ll stop by the side of the river for a delicious picnic lunch including fresh tropical fruits. And of course we celebrate a fun day on the river with an ice-cold beer or soft drink at the end. From the take-out we head back to Tena. Arrival time is approximately 4.00pm but may be earlier or later depending on the river level.
