





This trek takes us to one of the most beautiful valley in the planet. Cut in two pieces by the Colca Canyon it is 100 kilometers long and 3517 meters deep.
The ancient Colonies lived in the Colca canyon and domesticated the Llamas and Alpacas and treated the land so well that nowadays they produce the most delicious potatoes and corn. At both sides of the canyon there are 17 temples and 90 archaeological monuments representing the cultural messages from the Stone Age to our days.
Lots of colors in women dresses and religious festivities. It is important to mention that here lives the amazing Condor with all the majestic and elegance of being the biggest bird. You will be able to admire this beautiful bird from the Condor Cross.

Itinerary 3 Days / 2 Night
04.00hrs Land transportation from Arequipa to the Mirador passing by the Patapampa and the Village of Chivay and along the Colca Canyon left margin to the Condor Cross.
From the Mirador we will be able to see the walls of the opposite right margin of the Canyon where the villages of Tapay, Cosnihua and Malata are located and will be visit by us later.
From Cabanaconde we will descent during 3 hours along a zigzag trail of the Colca Canyon left margin until we reach 1200 Mts. of deepest 1200hrs. Arriving at the Colca river level we will appreciate a beautiful view of the Canyon from the bottom up; we will have a tropical microclimate.
We will walk until we find a hunging bridge across the Colca River that will take us to the right margin.
Lunch and short rest. Then trek for two hours to the village of San Juan de Chucchos.
Base camp and dinner.
After breakfast we will depart toward the village of Tapay (01 hour): To this village you can only arrive walking or by mule. It has a beautiful colonial church and the architecture and landscape are unique. View of the Sepregina snow cape and the enormous pick of the Bomboya. Then we will walk to the ̈old ̈Tapay to see the preincas ruins.

After lunch, trek along the right side, crossing the small Sepregina river and on to Cosnihua and Malata.
17.00hrs stop to prepare base camp and dinner
Breakfast and then cross the river again, to Cangalle.
We will star our way up the Canyon with a 4 hours trek to Cabanaconde. There will be our transportation unit waiting to takes us to Chivay.
Lunch at Chivay Rumillacta Hotel. You can have a hot bath a La Calera. Afternoon return to Arequipa by the Chucura way, Pampa Cañihuas, Vicula reservation and on.
We will arrive to Arequipa aprox 18.39hrs.
